Frequently asked questions
What is Megark 2500mcg Injection?
Megark 2500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that the body needs to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also helps release energy from food and utilize vitamin B11 (folate).
Why might I have insufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You may not be getting enough vitamin B12 from your diet if you follow a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. It is not naturally found in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. People who are vegetarians or vegans might require supplementation to ensure sufficient intake of Vitamin B12.
What happens when I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (where red blood cells become larger than normal). It may also cause nerve problems like numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other signs include balance issues, depression, confusion, memory problems, mouth sores, or tongue soreness.
Is Megark 2500mcg Injection safe?
Megark 2500mcg Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, some individuals may experience rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash. If you experience a rash, discontinue use immediately.

After two months, a dose of 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Megark 2500mcg Injection) is given every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
What precautions are required when administering Megark 2500mcg Injection?
Do not repeat injections at the same site each time. If there's intense pain during injection, or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert it in a different location.
