Introduction

Mefbrom Spas Tablet is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine. Do not take it for more than the recommended duration as long-term administration may have harmful effects on the health.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mefbrom Spas Tablet is to be taken with food.

Side Effects

Most common side effects are dryness in mouth, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and weakness. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time.

Alcohol Warning

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.

Mefbrom Spas Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Dicyclomine, Mefenamic Acid, and Pamabrom. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and relieves cramps and bloating. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain. Pamabrom is a diuretic which increases urine production to remove excess water from the body and relieve premenstrual symptoms like bloating, water-weight gain, swelling, and the feeling of being full.

If you get diarrhea while taking this medicine, consult your doctor immediately. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake, and sugarless candy may help. Mefbrom Spas Tablet will cause you to urinate more than usual. This is a sign that the medicine is working. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water each day. Gold-colored urine is a normal side effect of this medicine and not cause for concern.
