Introduction

Mefatin Spas 10 mg/250 mg/10 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose and duration will depend on what you are using it for and how well it helps your symptoms. Use it regularly and do not discontinue using it until the doctor tells you it is alright to stop. Using the medicine may cause some common side effects like nausea, diarrhea, constipation, dryness in mouth, headache, and drowsiness. If you experience any of such side effects that do not go away or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms. Before using the medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any other medical conditions or disorders. To make sure it is safe for you, you should also tell your doctor all the other medicines you are taking. It should be used with caution in patients who are alcoholic or have liver or kidney disease. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors first before using the medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Mefatin Spas 10 mg/250 mg/10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Mefatin Spas 10 mg/250 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Famotidine, Mefenamic Acid, and Dicyclomine. Famotidine is an H2 blocker (antacid) that reduces the amount of acid in the stomach, relieving acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Mefenamic Acid blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic that relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut, stopping sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.

You will be administered Mefatin Spas 10 mg/250 mg/10 mg Tablet to get relief from abdominal pain as well as acidity and heartburn. Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor. Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Mefatin Spas 10 mg/250 mg/10 mg Tablet. Incorporate the following lifestyle changes to prevent acidity: eat regular meals, drink plenty of water, avoid spicy and fatty fried food, lose weight if you are obese, consider giving up smoking, and don't drink too much alcohol. Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
