Medonce O Oral Suspension contains two antibiotics. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while ofloxacin directly interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. As a consequence, the infection-causing bacteria stop growing further and the spread of the infection is successfully arrested.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection. Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Medonce O Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Only give Medonce O Oral Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses. Stop this medicine and immediately report to your child's doctor in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine.
Giving an extra dose of Medonce O Oral Suspension is unlikely to cause harm. However, you should remain vigilant as overdoses may lead to unwanted side effects or even worsen your child's condition. If you believe your child received an overdose of Medonce O Oral Suspension, consult a doctor immediately.

Antibiotics typically do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a negative reaction in children recently vaccinated. However, it is crucial to ensure your child recovers from the illness before they receive any new vaccinations. Once your child feels better, administer the vaccine.
Children are prone to stomach upset while taking antibiotics, as this medicine can disrupt the balance of good and bad bacteria in their gut. This disruption increases their susceptibility to other infections. If your child experiences diarrhea while taking Medonce O Oral Suspension, do not discontinue the medication without consulting your doctor. Your doctor may adjust the dosage based on individual circumstances.
Yes, prolonged use of antibiotics can result in the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This is because improper dosage or inconsistent use of this medication can increase bacterial resistance, making infections harder to treat.
Inform your doctor if your child has a history of heart disease, genetic disorders affecting blood vessels, seizures, mental health disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergic reaction to sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. These conditions may be aggravated by the use of Medonce O Oral Suspension, leading to complications.
