It is used to treat deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body. Vitamin B12 is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation, and protein and tissue synthesis. It also helps to treat anemia, fatigue, and numbness or tingling in the hands and feet.

Mecvin 500mcg Injection can be administered via intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection. The typical dosage is one ampoule (0.5 mg of Mecvin 500mcg Injection), given three times a week, with maintenance therapy consisting of one ampoule (0.5 mg of Mecvin 500mcg Injection) administered every one to three months after two months.
To ensure safe administration, avoid injecting at the same site every time and take out the needle if there is intense pain or blood flows back into the syringe; re-insert the needle at a different site.
