Chloramphenicol Orlistat
Mecovit Plus Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Mecovit Plus Injection contains vitamin B12, a vital nutrient that plays a crucial role in red blood cell production and maintaining the nervous system. Vitamin B12 also helps with energy metabolism and utilization of folic acid (vitamin B11). It's important to note that vitamin B12 is not naturally present in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, or grains.
Vitamin B12 is primarily found in animal products such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. Vegetarians and vegans may face difficulty obtaining sufficient vitamin B12 without supplementation due to its limited presence in plant-based foods.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can manifest as fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an enlarged red blood cell condition). It may also lead to neurological issues such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, along with problems with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, memory impairment, and oral sores.
Mecovit Plus Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rashes may occur in some individuals. If a rash develops, discontinue use immediately.
Mecovit Plus Injection can be injected directly into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly). The standard dose is one ampoule containing 0.5 mg of Mecovit Plus Injection, administered three times per week. After two months, a single ampoule of 0.5 mg is administered every one to three months as part of long-term maintenance therapy.
It's essential to avoid injecting in the same area repeatedly, and if experiencing pain during injection or observed backflow of blood into the syringe, remove the needle and re-inject at a different site.
