What is Mecony 2500mcg Injection?
Mecony 2500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required by the body to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can't I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
Vitamin B12 is found in some foods, including meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Vegetarians or vegans may be deficient because Vitamin B12 is not naturally present in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, a vegetarian or vegan diet may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become larger than normal). It can also lead to nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms include balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness in the mouth or tongue.
Is Mecony 2500mcg Injection safe?
