How should Meconem Gold Injection be given?
Meconem Gold Injection can be administered by direct injection into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dose is 0.5 mg of Meconem Gold Injection, and it's administered three times per week. After two months, the dose becomes 0.5 mg once every one to three months as part of long-term maintenance therapy.
What precautions need to be taken while administering Meconem Gold Injection?
Avoid injecting at the same site every time. If experiencing intense pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different site.
