Chloramphenicol Orlistat
Mecofag 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Mecofag 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is essential for red blood cell production and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in energy release from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
You obtain vitamin B12 from sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may experience deficiencies of vitamin B12 since it is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, or grains. Therefore, vegetarians and vegans are at an increased risk for vitamin B12 deficiency.
Vitamin B12 deficiency may cause symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an increased size of red blood cells). It may also lead to nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other potential signs of a vitamin B12 deficiency include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, memory difficulties, and sore mouth or tongue.
Mecofag 1500mcg Injection is generally well tolerated. However, rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash may occur. If a rash develops, discontinue use of the medication immediately.
Mecofag 1500mcg Injection can be injected into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Mecofag 1500mcg Injection), and it is administered three times a week. After two months, the dose is adjusted to once every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
Avoid injecting the medication at the same site repeatedly. If intense pain occurs while injecting or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert it at a different location.
