Frequently asked questions
What is Mecaris 1500mcg Injection?
Mecaris 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays a crucial role in the body's production of red blood cells and the maintenance of a healthy nervous system. It also aids in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folate).
Why can't I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
Vitamin B12 is typically found in animal-derived foods like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. While those who follow vegetarian or vegan diets may find it challenging to obtain sufficient Vitamin B12, as this nutrient isn't naturally present in fruits, vegetables, and grains. As such, individuals with a predominantly vegetarian or vegan dietary pattern might experience vitamin B12 deficiency.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to symptoms like fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become abnormally large). It can also result in nerve problems such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet.
