Short Description

Mebchlo Tablet is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (symptoms include abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and diarrhea or constipation).

Introduction

Mebchlo Tablet is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mebchlo Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Alcohol Warning

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Mebchlo Tablet.

Breastfeeding Warning

Pregnancy Warning

Mebchlo Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Mebchlo Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Mebeverine and Chlordiazepoxide.

You have been prescribed Mebchlo Tablet for the treatment of pain and other discomfort associated with irritable bowel syndrome. Do not take Mebchlo Tablet at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines. Inform your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate gland, glaucoma, or trouble passing urine. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
