The syrup contains Chlorpheniramine Maleate, an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms, and Phenylephrine, a decongestant that narrows small blood vessels to relieve nasal congestion. While it is effective in treating these symptoms, it may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Therefore, activities requiring mental focus should be avoided. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and consult a doctor if pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Maxtra Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
