Introduction
Macromycin Tablet should be taken orally on an empty stomach. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. Commonly seen side effects include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and diarrhea. These are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Consult your doctor if these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration. Regular monitoring of liver function tests (LFT’s) may be required while using this medicine. This medicine is safe to use during pregnancy. However, it will not affect the severity of the disease if the unborn child has already been infected. Inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy before taking this medicine.
