Frequently asked questions
Does birth control pills have any effect on Macphylline Capsule?
Combining birth control pills with Macphylline Capsule may increase the levels of Macphylline Capsule in your body, which can lead to potential side effects. Always consult your doctor for guidance on dosage adjustments if you are taking both medications.
How should Macphylline Capsule be taken?
Macphylline Capsule must be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor, ideally with food to prevent stomach discomfort. It's crucial to follow this guidance strictly to achieve optimal results.
Is it okay to take furosemide along with Macphylline Capsule?
Care should be taken when combining furosemide and Macphylline Capsule. This is because their use together may lead to a decrease in potassium levels, so regular monitoring of your potassium levels is recommended by your doctor.
When should Macphylline Capsule be avoided?
Macphylline Capsule is not appropriate for individuals with known allergies to ambroxol, theophylline, or Macphylline Capsule itself. Moreover, people with pre-existing conditions such as low blood pressure, irregular heart rhythms, a history of heart attacks, liver disease, or kidney disorders should consult their doctor before taking this medication.
Is Macphylline Capsule the same as theophylline?
Macphylline Capsule contains ambroxol and theophylline. These components work by increasing mucus fluidity, making it easier to breathe and clearing airways.
