This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Your doctor has prescribed Lytob 0.3% Eye Drop to treat bacterial infections of the eye. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Lytob 0.3% Eye Drop may cause damage to cornea on long-term use. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer. Lytob 0.3% Eye Drop may cause damage to cornea on long-term use. Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

Specific bacterial strains killed by Lytob 0.3% Eye Drop include Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, certain Streptococci species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Proteus mirabilis, Morganella morganii, most Proteus vulgaris strains, Haemophilus influenzae, and H. aegyptius, Moraxella lacunata, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, and some Neisseria species. Please consult your doctor to determine if this medication is appropriate for your specific condition.
The duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor based on the severity of your eye infection. For mild to moderate infections, your doctor may prescribe using 1-2 drops four times a day. For more severe infections, you may receive instructions to use two drops every hour. It is crucial not to exceed or deviate from the prescribed dosage or frequency. Please always follow the precise directions given by your doctor.
Before administering the drops, ensure you wash your hands thoroughly. Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface. Gently tilt your head slightly and instill one drop into your affected eye. Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes with your head tilted downwards; avoid blinking or squinting. Press gently on the inner corner of your eye with your finger for approximately one minute, this will help prevent the liquid from draining into your tear duct. If you are using more than one drop, wait for approximately five minutes between drops. Please ensure at least a 10-minute gap exists before applying any other prescribed eye drops.
