Introduction

Lycoprost SP Tablet is an antioxidant preparation containing Pygeum Africanum, a phytotherapeutic product extracted from the bark of Pygeum Africanum Hooker, a tree found in South and Central Africa. Pygeum extract is a natural association of substances like phytosterols, pentacyclic tritepenes, and ferulic acid esters of fatty alcohols, with synergistic pharmacological effects on the prostate. These constituents are endowed with anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, and anti-proliferative actions on the prostate.
