Introduction

Lukosis Tablet is taken after meals in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Taking with food helps to increase absorption of the medication as well as decrease nausea. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lukosis Tablet is to be taken with food.

Side Effects

The most common side effects of Lukosis Tablet are nausea, itching, and redness of the skin.

Alcohol Warning

Avoid eating certain foods like limes, figs, parsley, parsnips, mustard, carrots, and celery as they may increase skin's sensitivity to light.

Lukosis Tablet is a photosensitive medication used with UV-A rays. It works by activating certain skin cells (melanocytes) and helps repigment the discolored white patches in vitiligo. Lukosis Tablet also slows down the rapid growth of skin cells in psoriasis. This reduces scaling and thickening of the skin.

Lukosis Tablet is given for the treatment of skin disorders like vitiligo and psoriasis. Use sunscreen with your doctor’s consultation and wear UVA-absorbing wrap-around sunglasses following treatment with Lukosis Tablet. Wear clothing that protects your skin from the sun. Be careful before applying anything to your skin to treat dryness and itchiness caused by Lukosis Tablet.
