Lozep 2 Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat symptoms of short term anxiety and anxiety disorders.

Lozep 2 Tablet is taken by mouth with or without food. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor as it has a high potential of habit-forming. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may increase seizure frequency. Some common side effects of this medicine include fatigue and balance disorder. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lozep 2 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Lozep 2 Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
The addiction / habit-forming potential of this medicine is very high. Take it only as per the dose and duration advised by your doctor It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid consuming alcohol as it may increase dizziness and drowsiness. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding. Do not stop taking medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as that may lead to nausea, anxiety, agitation, flu-like symptoms, sweating, tremor, and confusion.
Lozep 2 Tablet is not an opioid but belongs to the benzodiazepine group of medicines. It is used for short-term treatment (typically 2-4 weeks) and can be habit-forming, leading to physical and psychological dependence.
Although primarily used for anxiety-related sleep difficulties, Lozep 2 Tablet may induce drowsiness and sleepiness in some individuals, helping them fall asleep.
Lozep 2 Tablet is typically eliminated from the body within approximately 3 days.
Common symptoms of addiction include an intense desire for the medication, increasing doses to feel its effects, and withdrawal symptoms when attempting to stop or reduce use.
Sudden cessation may lead to withdrawal symptoms such as detachment from reality, numbness or tingling in the arms or legs, tinnitus (ringing sounds in the ears), and various physical discomforts. Gradual dose reduction is recommended before stopping.
The effect of Lozep 2 Tablet on weight is unknown.
Individuals with a history of depression may be at increased risk of developing depression again. Using Lozep 2 Tablet alone in depressed patients can lead to suicidal tendencies.
While rare, Lozep 2 Tablet use may cause memory impairment, which can be more pronounced in elderly individuals.
Taking higher-than-recommended doses may lead to serious consequences such as loss of muscle control, low blood pressure, mental confusion, slow breathing, and even coma. Immediate medical attention is required if an excessive dose is taken.
