Frequently asked questions
How long does Lozec 10gm Syrup take to work?
It typically takes 2-3 days to experience the benefits of Lozec 10gm Syrup. If you continue to have constipation after 3 days, consult your doctor.
What is Lozec 10gm Syrup used for?
Lozec 10gm Syrup is used to treat both constipation and hepatic encephalopathy. Constipation is presented as infrequent bowel movements, hard and dry stools. It's also used for patients with hepatic encephalopathy, a serious liver problem that can cause confusion, tremors, and decreased level of consciousness.
Is Lozec 10gm Syrup a laxative?
Yes, Lozec 10gm Syrup is a laxative. It softens stools by drawing water from the body into the large intestine. It can also be used to reduce ammonia levels in the blood of patients with liver disease.
What are the side effects of taking Lozec 10gm Syrup?
Common side effects of Lozec 10gm Syrup include diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. Diarrhea and abdominal pain often occur due to a high dose, in which case the dosage should be reduced. Flatulence is common during the initial days of treatment and may subside over time.
