Directions for Use

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Lotepred 1% Ophthalmic Suspension is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.

Quick Tips

Do not use for more than the prescribed duration as it may cause glaucoma or secondary infection. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye for about 1 minute after instilling the drop. Wait for 5-10 minutes before administering another eye drops. Avoid driving until vision is clear. Notify your doctor if stinging persists longer than 1-2 minutes. Remove contact lenses and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back after the medication. Use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle. Do not stop using without talking to your doctor.
