How it works
Lotegate Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Gatifloxacin and Loteprednol etabonate. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria in the eye by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. This treats your infection. Loteprednol etabonate is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy.
Quick Tips
Lotegate Eye Drop must be used as per dose and duration suggested by the doctor. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
