Litz 40mg Tablet is a histamine H2 receptor antagonist that works by reducing the acid produced in the stomach, relieving acid-related indigestion and heartburn. It is commonly prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers and heartburn caused due to the use of painkillers. The medicine must be taken in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. This medicine should relieve indigestion and heartburn within a few hours. If the symptoms persist or get worse even after 14 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor immediately.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Litz 40mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Litz 40mg Tablet.
Litz 40mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Litz 40mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Take it with or without food. Take other medications to treat acidity 2 hours before or after taking Litz 40mg Tablet. Avoid taking soft drinks and citrus fruits like orange and lemon, which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Litz 40mg Tablet for 2 weeks as you may be suffering from some other problems.
Litz 40mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. It can be taken once daily before bedtime or twice daily in the morning and before bedtime, as recommended.
Litz 40mg Tablet starts working within 15 minutes of administration. Its effect is seen to last all day or all night.
Litz 40mg Tablet and Omeprazole belong to different groups of medications. While Litz 40mg Tablet belongs to the histamine H2 antagonists group, Omeprazole belongs to the proton pump inhibitors group. Another serious symptom can be swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs. Inform your doctor if you experience any of the aforementioned symptoms.
Avoid taking aspirin and other painkillers used to treat arthritis, period pain or headache. These medications may irritate the stomach and worsen your condition. Contact your doctor for alternative medication options. Avoid coffee, tea, cocoa, and cola drinks as these contain ingredients that can irritate the stomach. Eat smaller, more frequent meals. Eat slowly and chew your food carefully. Try not to rush at meal times. You should stop or cut down on smoking.
There is limited data available regarding the long-term safety of Litz 40mg Tablet. However, it is a relatively safe medication. You should follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage and duration of use. Do not take over-the-counter Litz 40mg tablet for longer than two weeks unless advised by your doctor.
