Frequently asked questions
Can I combine cough and allergy medications for my child?
No, do not mix cough and allergy medicines because they typically contain similar ingredients. This could lead to double dosing of the active components, potentially causing serious side effects.
Can I adjust the dosage of Levozet M Syrup on my own if my child is feeling better?
No, follow the prescribed dosage as determined by your child's doctor. Do not increase or decrease the dose by yourself. Incorrect dose adjustments can negatively impact your child's health. While increasing the dose may cause unwanted side effects like sedation and depression, decreasing the dose abruptly can lead to a rebound of symptoms.
How should Levozet M Syrup be stored?
Levozet M Syrup should be kept at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct heat and light. Always store medications out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
Does Levozet M Syrup make my child sleepy?
Levozet M Syrup may cause mild drowsiness that can lead to sleepiness in your child. However, never use this medicine for inducing sleep. Forcing sleep could mask an underlying sleep disorder like insomnia.
Can I start Levozet M Syrup if my child is about to participate in a sports event in the next two days?
No, do not begin Levozet M Syrup without first consulting your child's doctor. Moreover, Levozet M Syrup can potentially impair your child's performance due to possible sedation, dizziness, and sleepiness. It is best to contact their doctor before starting the medication.
Can I stop taking the medicine by myself?
No, do not abruptly stop taking Levozet M Syrup without your child's doctor's guidance. Sudden withdrawal can likely lead to the reemergence of all symptoms if taken for a prolonged period. Consult your child’s doctor before stopping the medication.
Is it safe to give Levozet M Syrup to my child with mood disorders?
Levozet M Syrup can potentially trigger mood disorders, hallucinations, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, shakiness, and problems controlling body movements. Seek guidance from your child’s doctor before administering any medicine.
Can I use Levozet M Syrup for treating acute asthma attacks in my child?
Levozet M Syrup is intended for preventing asthma attacks, not for managing them. It should only be used to prevent future attacks. In case of an ongoing asthma attack, your child's reliever medicine should be used.
