How it works
Levosin M Syrup contains Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Together these two relieve sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Frequently asked questions
My child is experiencing persistent cough alongside allergic symptoms. Can I combine cough and allergy medications?
No, do not mix cough and allergy medicines because they typically contain similar ingredients. This may result in double dosing of the active ingredients, potentially leading to serious side effects.
Can I reduce the dosage of Levosin M Syrup on my own if my child shows improvement?
No, adhere to the dosage prescribed by your child's doctor. Do not increase or decrease the dose independently as this can impact their health. While increasing the dose may cause unwanted effects like sedation and depression, decreasing the dose or stopping it suddenly can lead to a rebound of all symptoms.
How should Levosin M Syrup be stored?
Levosin M Syrup should be stored at room temperature in a dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Also, keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
Does Levosin M Syrup cause drowsiness in my child?
Levosin M Syrup can cause mild drowsiness which could make your child sleepy. However, this medication should not be used for inducing sleep. Forcing sleep could mask any underlying sleep disorders such as insomnia.
