Levolin Plus Jr Expectorant is a combination medication containing Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol/Levalbuterol, and Guaifenesin. It is used to treat coughs with phlegm (mucus). Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic, thinning the mucus to make it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator, relaxing airway muscles to widen them. Guaifenesin is an expectorant, decreasing the stickiness of phlegm for easier removal.
Levolin Plus Jr Expectorant is generally safe in most patients. However, it can cause common side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, rash, urticaria, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. If you experience persistent problems, consult your doctor immediately.
Use of Levolin Plus Jr Expectorant is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to any of the active or inactive ingredients. Levosalbutamol and beta-blockers like propranolol should not usually be taken together.
