It may also be given for skin infections such as leprosy, warts, lichen planus, and aphthous ulcers. As an immunoregulator, it promotes activation of white blood cells and helps restore the normal function of the immune system.
Follow the prescribed dosage strictly. In case your child is prescribed to take this medicine for a few days, make sure to complete the dosage as stopping abruptly may lead to re-infection.

Signs of a worm infestation in children may include itching around the anus, trouble sitting down, fatigue, restless sleep due to anal itching, or persistent stomach pain accompanied by loss of appetite or frequent indigestion. Additionally, your child might exhibit a habit called pica - eating inedible substances like mud. If you notice any of these symptoms in your child, consult their doctor immediately. The doctor may request a stool sample analysis and blood tests to determine the presence of worms and prescribe appropriate medication for treatment.
Children are particularly susceptible to worm infections due to weakened immune systems. These infections can spread through contact with contaminated soil, water sources, or food if not properly washed and handled. This contamination might occur when feces from humans enters the environment and spreads through: * Contact with contaminated soil in areas lacking proper sanitation * Drinking contaminated water * Consuming fruits and vegetables that have not been properly washed or peeled * Playing in areas where soil is contaminated with worm eggs. To prevent infection, ensure your child's hygiene is maintained by encouraging handwashing after outdoor activities and maintaining a clean environment.
Overuse or exceeding the recommended dosage of Levamod 50mg Tablet can lead to potential side effects like seizures, and a decrease in blood cell counts. It is crucial not to administer Levamod 50mg Tablet to children with pre-existing seizure disorders. Your child's doctor may routinely monitor their complete blood cell count (CBC) during regular checkups.
You can provide your child with pain-relieving and fever-reducing medications unless instructed by their doctor not to do so. However, it is important to consult your child's doctor before administering any other medication alongside Levamod 50mg Tablet, as certain medications may interact with this medicine.
Levamod 50mg Tablet can be administered at any time of the day. Remember, always follow the dosage instructions provided by your child's doctor for optimal effectiveness.
