Frequently asked questions
Can I combine cough and allergy medications for my child?
No, do not mix cough and allergy medicines because they usually both contain similar ingredients. Mixing these medications can result in double dosing of active substances, potentially leading to serious side effects.
My child feels better but is still taking Leukast M Kid Syrup. Can I decrease the dose?
No, adhere to the prescribed dosage as recommended by your child’s doctor. Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own because it may impact their health. While increasing the dose might cause unwanted effects like sedation and depression, decreasing the dose abruptly can trigger rebound reversal of all symptoms.
How should I store Leukast M Kid Syrup?
Leukast M Kid Syrup should be stored at room temperature in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat. Always keep medications out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
Will Leukast M Kid Syrup cause drowsiness in my child?
Leukast M Kid Syrup can induce mild drowsiness, which might make your child sleepy. However, it is never used to induce sleep. Forced sleep could mask any underlying sleep disorders like insomnia.
Can I start the course of Leukast M Kid Syrup before an upcoming sports event?
No, do not start using Leukast M Kid Syrup without consulting your child’s doctor. This syrup can affect their athletic performance as it may induce drowsiness, dizziness, and sleepiness. Consult a doctor first to determine the best course of action.
