Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks histamine, a chemical responsible for allergic symptoms. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist that reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, making breathing easier. While generally safe, it may cause dizziness, sleepiness, and dry mouth. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Lert M 5mg/10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Do not drink alcohol while taking Lert M 5mg/10mg Tablet as it may cause increased sleepiness. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake, and sugarless candy may help. Stop taking Lert M 5mg/10mg Tablet at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.
