Leecob 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Leecob 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required by the body to produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Vitamin B12 is found in meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Some vegetarians or vegans may not consume enough vitamin B12 from their diets because it's not naturally present in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, deficiency of vitamin B12 is more common in these groups.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become abnormally large). It can also cause nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms may include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, memory impairment, sore mouth, and tongue.
Leecob 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated with a low risk of side effects. However, rare cases may involve nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash. Discontinue use if you experience a rash.
Leecob 1500mcg Injection can be administered intravenously or intramuscularly. The typical dosage is 0.5mg of Leecob 1500mcg Injection, given three times a week. After two months, the dose is adjusted to be given every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
