Ldoc Syrup belongs to a class of medicines called antihistamines. It blocks the natural chemical substance (histamine) produced in the body during an allergic state. It also subsides (lowers) your child’s immune system’s response to these conditions thereby reducing the symptoms.
Try giving the medicines at the same time each day to help you remember. Your child may feel sleepy or dizzy after each dose of Ldoc Syrup. If this happens, make your child sit or lie down and ask them to be careful while performing tasks that require mental focus. Avoid giving Ldoc Syrup with fatty meals and fruit juice as both can reduce the absorption of the medicine. Dry mouth can occur as a side effect of taking Ldoc Syrup. Taking sips of water may help. Ldoc Syrup can trigger constipation in your child. Give plenty of fluids and a fiber-rich diet to your child. Ldoc Syrup should be avoided in children who are less than 4 years of age as there is a risk of respiratory distress.
It's not appropriate to use Ldoc Syrup for inducing sleep in children. While it can cause drowsiness, consult your child's doctor if they have trouble sleeping as there may be underlying medical reasons.
Ldoc Syrup might interact with certain medications or substances. Always inform your child's doctor about any other medications your child is taking before starting Ldoc Syrup. They can provide guidance on safe usage.
Always follow the dosage prescribed by your child's doctor. The amount will be calculated based on your child's age and weight, and any adjustments should only be made under their guidance.
While Ldoc Syrup is generally safe for children, exceeding the recommended dosage can lead to adverse effects such as seizures, hallucinations, rapid heartbeat, irritability, slow breathing, and coma. Seek immediate medical attention if experiencing these symptoms.
Store Ldoc Syrup in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Always keep medications out of children's reach to prevent accidental ingestion.
Always contact your child's doctor for guidance and clarifications regarding Ldoc Syrup usage. However, seek immediate medical attention in case of any unexpected or severe symptoms such as allergic reactions (including facial swelling, difficulty breathing), signs of liver problems (dark-colored urine, yellowing of the eyes or skin), excessive sleepiness, rapid heartbeat, hallucinations, feeling confused or hyperactive, trouble urinating, irritability and vision changes.
