Laviat 10mg Capsule can be taken with or without food, but try to have it at the same time every day to get the most benefits. How it works
Laviat 10mg Capsule is an anti-cancer medication. It works by enhancing the immune system that indirectly attacks the cancer cells. It prevents the growth of new blood vessels within the tumor. It also restricts the production of chemical messengers (cytokine and growth factor) which are responsible for the growth of cancer cells. This is how it works against cancer.

You may be monitored with regular blood tests before and during the treatment as lenalidomide may cause a fall in the white blood cells and platelets required to fight infection Hemoglobin and blood clotting. Avoid activities that may cause bruising or injury and avoid contact with people who have colds or infections. It makes your skin sensitive towards sunlight. Apply sunscreen or wear protective while going out. It may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated while taking medication. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years. You should use proper contraceptive methods at least 4 weeks before, during and until 4 weeks after stopping treatment. Woman of childbearing potential will be required to undergo pregnancy tests before and after the treatment. You should inform your doctor or dentist that you are taking Laviat 10mg Capsule before you receive any medical or dental care or surgery.

People with multiple myeloma (a type of cancer involving plasma cells) who receive melphalan (chemotherapy) and a blood stem cell transplant along with Laviat 10mg Capsule are at an increased risk for developing new cancers. These can include certain blood cancers (acute myelogenous leukemia or AML) and a type of lymphoma called Hodgkin lymphoma. It's crucial to discuss your individual cancer risk with your doctor before, during, and after treatment.
Do I need to get any blood tests done while on Laviat 10mg Capsule?
Your doctor will request a pre-treatment blood test and then weekly tests for the first eight weeks of your treatment. You may require continued blood tests every month after completing treatment with Laviat 10mg Capsule. Regular monitoring of your blood cell counts is important, as Laviat 10mg Capsule can decrease white blood cells (important for fighting infections) and platelet count.
Do I need to use birth control methods while using Laviat 10mg Capsule?
Women who could become pregnant must use two acceptable forms of birth control for four weeks before starting treatment with Laviat 10mg Capsule. Continue these contraceptive measures during your treatment, including periods when you temporarily stop taking the medicine, and for four weeks after your final dose.
