Lapcid-KId Tablet MD is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine. It belongs to a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dose will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep on taking it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear quickly. You can increase the efficiency of the treatment by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding caffeinated drinks (like tea and coffee) and spicy or fatty foods.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Put it in your mouth but do not swallow it. Lapcid-KId Tablet MD is to be taken empty stomach.

Consult your doctor right away if you develop decreased urination, edema (swelling due to fluid retention), lower back pain, nausea, fatigue, and rash or fever. These could be signs of a kidney problem.
Lapcid-KId Tablet MD is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) medication. It is prescribed to treat conditions like peptic ulcer disease (gastric and duodenal ulcers), reflux esophagitis, or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It can also be used to manage Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (ZES), a condition where the stomach produces excessive acid.
Your healthcare provider or nurse will demonstrate the correct technique for administering Lapcid-KId Tablet MD via a nasogastric (NG) tube. Open the capsule of Lapcid-KId Tablet MD, empty the granules into a syringe, and mix them with apple juice to create a smooth solution. Attach this solution to the NG tube and deliver it directly into the stomach. After administering the medication, flush the NG tube with additional apple juice to clear any remaining contents.
Lapcid-KId Tablet MD is usually taken once a day in the morning on an empty stomach. If you are taking two doses of Lapcid-KId Tablet MD, take one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening.
To manage acidity and heartburn, it's best to avoid or limit consumption of foods known to trigger these symptoms, such as: fried or spicy foods, butter, oil, juices, caffeinated beverages (like cola or tea), citrus drinks like lemon water or orange juice, and alcohol.
Lapcid-KId Tablet MD is approved for use in children aged 1 to 17 years to manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and erosive gastritis.
