LAN 30 Capsule is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It is used for treating acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and some other stomach conditions associated with excessive acid production.

LAN 30 Capsule is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn. It is also used to prevent stomach ulcers and acidity that may be seen with the prolonged use of painkillers. This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dose will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep on taking it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear quickly. You can increase the efficiency of the treatment by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding caffeinated drinks (like tea and coffee) and spicy or fatty foods.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. LAN 30 Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.

Your doctor or nurse will show you the correct way of giving LAN 30 Capsule through a nasogastric (NG) tube. Open the LAN 30 Capsule capsule and empty the granules into a syringe. Mix the contents with apple juice in the syringe and attach it to the NG tube and give directly into the stomach. Once given, flush the NG tube with more apple juice to clear the tube.
Usually, LAN 30 Capsule is taken once a day, first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. If you take LAN 30 Capsule twice a day, take one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening. The tablets should be swallowed whole (remember not to chew or crush) and taken at least 1 hour before a meal with some water.
