Lafukind 10mg Tablet is an antacid that reduces the amount of acid produced by your stomach. It is used to treat and prevent heartburn, indigestion, and other symptoms caused by too much acid in the stomach.

Introduction

Lafukind 10mg Tablet is also commonly prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers or heartburn caused due to the use of painkillers. It must be swallowed whole with water before or after a meal. The medicine must be taken in dose and duration as advised by the doctor. This medicine should relieve indigestion and heartburn within a few hours. If the symptoms persist or get worse even after 14 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor immediately. It is not recommended to take this medicine in severe stomach disease. You can help the medicine work better by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding spicy or oily foods.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Lafukind 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Interacting Medicines

Efavirenz Nevirapine Acarbose Atazanavir

Lafukind 10mg Tablet blocks specific receptors (H2 receptors) on the lining of the stomach that stimulate acid production. It also increases the secretions (mucin) inside the stomach. This way, Lafukind 10mg Tablet decreases acid production in the stomach and helps in healing the ulcers of the stomach and small intestine. Additionally, it reduces discomfort such as heartburn and gives relief from acid-related indigestion.

Take Lafukind 10mg Tablet before going to bed if you are taking this medicine once a day. Take other medications to treat acidity 2 hours before or after taking Lafukind 10mg Tablet. Avoid taking soft drinks and citrus fruits like orange and lemon. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Lafukind 10mg Tablet for 2 weeks. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney disease. Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor.
