Lafukem 10mg Tablet is an antacid that reduces the amount of acid produced by your stomach. It is used to treat and prevent heartburn, indigestion, and other symptoms caused by too much acid in the stomach.

Lafukem 10mg Tablet is also commonly prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers or heartburn caused due to the use of painkillers. It must be swallowed whole with water before or after a meal. The medicine must be taken in dose and duration as advised by the doctor. This medicine should relieve indigestion and heartburn within a few hours. If the symptoms persist or get worse even after 14 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor immediately. It is not recommended to take this medicine in severe stomach disease. You can help the medicine work better by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding spicy or oily foods.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lafukem 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Efavirenz Nevirapine Acarbose Atazanavir
Lafukem 10mg Tablet blocks specific receptors (H2 receptors) on the lining of the stomach that stimulate acid production. It also increases the secretions (mucin) inside the stomach. This way Lafukem 10mg Tablet decreases acid production in the stomach and helps in healing the ulcers of the stomach and small intestine. Additionally, it reduces discomfort such as heartburn and gives relief from acid-related indigestion.
Take Lafukem 10mg Tablet before going to bed if you are taking this medicine once a day. If you are also taking other medications to treat acidity (e.g. antacid), take them 2 hours before or after taking Lafukem 10mg Tablet. Avoid taking soft drinks, citrus fruits like orange and lemon which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Lafukem 10mg Tablet for 2 weeks as you may be suffering from some other problems. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney disease as dose of your medicine may need to be adjusted.
Lafukem 10mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. It can be taken once daily before bedtime or twice daily in the morning and before bedtime, as recommended.
If you take Lafukem 10mg Tablet orally, its effect usually begins within one hour. The maximum effect is generally reached within one to three hours of taking it, but this depends on the dose. The medicine's action lasts for approximately 10 to 12 hours.
Lafukem 10mg Tablet and Omeprazole are from different classes of medicines. While Lafukem 10mg Tablet belongs to the histamine H2 antagonists group, Omeprazole belongs to the proton pump inhibitors group. Both work by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach to relieve symptoms and promote healing.
Alcohol does not interfere with the working of Lafukem 10mg Tablet. However, it is recommended to avoid taking alcohol as it can further damage your stomach and delay recovery.
Lafukem 10mg Tablet may cause some serious side effects, which are rare. These side effects may include hives, skin rash, itching, hoarseness, and difficulty breathing or swallowing. Another serious symptom may be swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of these mentioned symptoms.
Avoid taking aspirin and other painkillers for arthritis, menstrual pain, or headaches. These may irritate your stomach and worsen your condition. Consult your doctor who may suggest alternative medicines. Avoid coffee, tea, cocoa, and cola drinks as they contain ingredients that might irritate your stomach. Eat smaller, more frequent meals. Eat slowly and chew your food carefully. Try not to rush at meal times. It's also important to stop or cut down on smoking.
