Labetide S Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. Clobetasol is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Clobetasol into the skin.

Frequently asked questions
How do I use Labetide S Ointment?
To use Labetide S Ointment, follow the instructions provided by your doctor or the label on the product. Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected skin areas, using enough to cover them completely. Typically, this is done 2-3 times per day. After application, wash your hands unless you are treating an infection on the hands.
Can I stop taking Labetide S Ointment once my symptoms improve?
No, it's essential to complete the full course of treatment as prescribed by your doctor, even if your symptoms seem to be improving. This ensures that any underlying condition is fully addressed and prevented from returning.
What precautions should I take while using Labetide S Ointment?
When using Labetide S Ointment, please do not apply it on the face. Also, avoid using it for longer than recommended periods or applying bandages/dressings, as this may increase absorption and risk of side effects. This medicine should only be used by the intended patient; never share it with others.
Will Labetide S Ointment be more effective if I use more than prescribed?
Using more Labetide S Ointment than recommended will not make it more effective but can cause too much medicine to be absorbed, potentially leading to thinning/weakening of the skin and other serious side effects. If your symptoms worsen, consult with your doctor.
How should I store and dispose of Labetide S Ointment?
Store this medicine in its original container or pack, tightly closed. Dispose of unused medicine responsibly; ensure it is not consumed by pets, children, or other people.
