These symptoms are usually associated with common cold, hay fever (allergic rhinitis), and other respiratory tract conditions.
Kufdoz Baby Suspension is for oral use only. Shake the bottle well before use. Use the dropper provided to give the recommended dose to your child. Do not give Kufdoz Baby Suspension if your child is less than 2 years of age. Consult your child's doctor before giving such medicines.
Kufdoz Baby Suspension is a combination of three medicines: Cetirizine, Paracetamol, and Phenylephrine. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks histamine (a chemical messenger) to relieve allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Do not give Kufdoz Baby Suspension if your child is less than 2 years of age. Consult your child's doctor before giving such medicines. Kufdoz Baby Suspension may make your child feel sleepy. Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities. Never combine Kufdoz Baby Suspension with other cold and flu medicines as that may lead to side effects. Stop Kufdoz Baby Suspension and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties. Practice self-care tips: clean and disinfect surfaces after sneezing and coughing, give your child plenty of fluids, restrain your child from having caffeinated products and foods that are spicy and fried, make your child gargle with warm saltwater, and ensure your child takes enough rest.
A common cold is usually self-limiting, lasting about a week. If you're concerned about your child's comfort, consult with their healthcare provider to determine the best course of action for faster recovery. If your child's symptoms don't improve or worsen, contact their doctor. A persistent cough might indicate a more serious condition like bronchitis or asthma.
Overdosing on Kufdoz Baby Suspension can lead to serious side effects, such as seizures, psychiatric symptoms, urinary retention, shaking of hands, blurred vision, severe abdominal pain, and rapid heart rate. Seek immediate medical attention for your child.
It's crucial to inform your child's doctor about any other medications they are taking before starting Kufdoz Baby Suspension. Consulting a healthcare professional before administering any medicine to your child is essential.
Avoid giving Kufdoz Baby Suspension to children with seizures. Additionally, avoid use in children with cardiovascular disease (hypertension, heart disease), diabetes mellitus, gastrointestinal obstruction, increased intraocular pressure, urinary obstruction, or thyroid dysfunction. Always inform the doctor of your child's medical history and consult them before administering any medication.
Kufdoz Baby Suspension might cause mild drowsiness in some children, but it should never be used to induce sleep. Forcing sleep could mask underlying sleep disorders like insomnia. Consulting with the child's doctor is essential before using this medication.
Kufdoz Baby Suspension should be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep all medications out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental intake.
