Ketoactive-K5 Cream is strictly for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Apply it only on the affected areas of the skin. In case of accidental exposure to the eyes or mouth, wash it off with plenty of water. Do not stop using even if your infection gets better until the doctor says so. The course of treatment should be completed for better efficacy.

Ketoactive-K5 Cream is a combination of five medicines: Ketoconazole, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Tolnaftate, Neomycin, and Clobetasol. Ketoconazole and Tolnaftate is an antifungal medication that kills and stops the growth of fungi by destroying its cell membrane. Clioquinol belongs to a category of drugs called hydroxyquinoline antifungal agents that acts by interacting with DNA synthesis thus killing the fungi that are responsible for causing the infection. Neomycin is an antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Clobetasol is a steroid that works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy.

You have been prescribed Ketoactive-K5 Cream to get relief from itching, swelling, and other discomforts due to skin infections. Apply it as a thin layer onto a clean, dry, unbroken infected area of skin. It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away. Do not share your towel or clothes with anyone and wear clean clothes every day to prevent infection. It may take several weeks to show its action. Keep using it as suggested by your doctor.
