Kerendia 10 Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) caused by type 2 diabetes (T2D). It works by blocking a certain hormone in the body, which can help prevent the kidneys from getting worse and reduce the risk of heart-related issues like heart attacks and heart failure.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Kerendia 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Kerendia 10 Tablet is a nonsteroidal selective antagonist of the mineralocorticoid receptor (MR). This receptor usually activated by hormones like aldosterone and cortisol helps in controlling sodium levels in the body. Kerendia 10 Tablet blocks and prevents this receptor from overactivation which can damage different parts of the body such as the kidneys, heart, and blood vessels.

For patients who are unable to swallow whole tablets, Kerendia 10 Tablet may be crushed and mixed with water or soft foods before taking it. Inform your doctor if you are taking potassium supplements or any other medications for high blood pressure or heart disease. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during the treatment to avoid getting pregnant. Kerendia 10 Tablet contains lactose; inform your doctor if you have lactose intolerance. Lactating women should exercise cautions while on treatment with this medicine.
