Introduction
Kalnase Nasal Spray is a medication primarily used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It helps in making the bones stronger and reduces the risk of fractures. Additionally, it can be used to alleviate bone pain associated with Paget's disease. The medicine works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, which are cells responsible for bone destruction. This action helps in strengthening the bones. While it is effective, users should be aware of potential side effects such as dizziness, nosebleeds, and allergic reactions. It is crucial to follow the prescribed dosage and consult a doctor if any adverse effects are observed.
Directions for Use
Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. As you spray, breathe gently and keep the head upright. Repeat the same process for the other nostril.
How it works
Kalnase Nasal Spray is a calcitonin receptor agonist. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures.
