Jotlans 30mg Tablet is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It is used for treating acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and some other stomach conditions associated with excessive acid production.

Jotlans 30mg Tablet is also used to prevent stomach ulcers and acidity that may be seen with the prolonged use of painkillers. It belongs to a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dose will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep on taking it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear quickly. You can increase the efficiency of the treatment by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding caffeinated drinks (like tea and coffee) and spicy or fatty foods.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Jotlans 30mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Your healthcare provider will demonstrate the correct method for administering Jotlans 30mg Tablet through a nasogastric (NG) tube. This involves emptying the capsule contents into a syringe, mixing with apple juice, and attaching the syringe to the NG tube. The contents should be given directly into the stomach, followed by flushing the NG tube with apple juice.
Typically, Jotlans 30mg Tablet is taken once a day, in the morning, on an empty stomach. If taking twice a day, take one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening. The tablets should be swallowed whole, without crushing or chewing, and taken at least 1 hour before a meal with some water.
To minimize symptoms, it is recommended to avoid foods that can trigger acidity and heartburn, such as fried or spicy food, butter, oil, citrus juices, caffeinated drinks, and alcohol.
