Introduction

Jonac 100mg Suppository is for rectal use only. Remove the wrapper from the suppository before inserting it. Keep lying down for about 15 minutes after insertion so that the suppository does not come out before it melts. It starts working within one hour. Nausea, constipation, anal irritation, anal itching, and black-colored stools are some of the side effects that might be seen with rectal administration. Inform your doctor immediately if any rash or allergic reaction is observed while taking this medicine. Pregnant and nursing women should use it under medical supervision only. It should be used with caution in patients with liver and kidney disease or alcohol abuse. It is not recommended in patients with severe or active liver disease.

Jonac 100mg Suppository is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is absorbed rapidly into the bloodstream from the rich blood supply of the rectal area. Once absorbed, it works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Take it as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Long term use may lead to serious complications such as stomach bleeding and kidney problems. It may cause dizziness, drowsiness or visual disturbances. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration. Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease or stroke. Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney function, liver function and levels of blood components if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment.
