How it works
Jeslop-S6 Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. Clobetasol is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Clobetasol into the skin.
Quick Tips
Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily or as advised by your doctor. Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor as this may increase the risk of side effects. After you have applied Jeslop-S6 Ointment, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area). Use a mild moisturizer regularly to overcome the skin dryness during the course of treatment. Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.

Frequently asked questions
How to apply Jeslop-S6 Ointment?
Follow the instructions provided by your doctor or on the medicine packaging. Apply a thin layer of the ointment to affected skin areas, ensuring sufficient coverage. Usually, use Jeslop-S6 Ointment twice or thrice daily to the affected areas of the skin. After applying the ointment, wash your hands unless it is being used for treating skin infection on the hands.
Should I stop using Jeslop-S6 Ointment once symptoms improve?
No, do not discontinue using Jeslop-S6 Ointment and complete the entire prescribed course of treatment, even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the disease is completely treated.
Are there any precautions to be taken when using Jeslop-S6 Ointment?
Jeslop-S6 Ointment should not be applied to the face. Avoid using the medication for longer than recommended durations. Do not apply a bandage or dressing to the treated area, as this increases absorption and risks potential side effects. This medicine is meant to be used solely by the patient, and never share it with others even if they appear to have similar symptoms.
Will using more than prescribed doses of Jeslop-S6 Ointment improve its effectiveness?
No, using more than the recommended dose will not increase Jeslop-S6 Ointment's effectiveness. Excessive use can result in an excess amount of the medication entering your body. This may lead to unwanted side effects like skin thinning or weakening. If you experience increased symptom severity, consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
How should I store and dispose of Jeslop-S6 Ointment?
Keep the medicine in its original container or package tightly closed. Follow the storage instructions on the packaging label and dispose of unused medication responsibly. Do not allow pets, children, or other people to consume it.
