To get the most benefit, take this medicine at evenly spaced times and continue using it until your prescription is finished, even if your symptoms disappear after a few days.

IT-Fic 200 Tablet is used to treat fungal infections caused by Trichophyton spp., Microsporum spp., and Epidermophyton floccosum. These include ringworm infections, foot infections, groin and buttock infections. It also treats persistent nail and toenail fungal infections, as well as candidiasis (yeast) infections of the vagina, mouth, or throat in patients with lower disease resistance. Furthermore, IT-Fic 200 Tablet is used for cryptococcal infection and infections caused by Histoplasma, Aspergillus, and Blastomyces.
The dose and length of treatment depend on the type and site of the infection, as well as your response to treatment. For example, if you are taking IT-Fic 200 Tablet for athlete's foot (fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes), the dose may be taken for 30 days. Conversely, if you are treating candidiasis in the vagina, the dose can range from 1 day to 3 days depending on the dosage advised by your doctor.
No, you should not stop taking IT-Fic 200 Tablet without completing the entire course as this may not completely cure the fungal infection. Treatment for nail lesions can take several months (6-9 months) because after medication eliminates the fungus, new nails still need time to grow. Medications for stomach ulcers, heartburn, or indigestion neutralize the acid produced by the stomach, therefore, take antacids or similar medications approximately 2 hours after taking IT-Fic 200 Tablet. If you are using antacids (medicines that stop the production of stomach acid), take IT-Fic 200 Tablet capsules with a drink of cola.
Sometimes fungi in your body can change and become less responsive to the medicine. This is called drug resistance. Resistance to IT-Fic 200 Tablet has been reported with some candida species (krusei, glabrata, and tropicalis). If you have these species of fungus, IT-Fic 200 Tablet should not be used. Always take the complete course of IT-Fic 200 Tablet to avoid drug resistance.
Yes, you can take both alprazolam and IT-Fic 200 Tablet together, but watch out for side effects of alprazolam like lightheadedness or drowsiness. If the side effects appear after taking IT-Fic 200 Tablet, talk to your doctor who will adjust alprazolam's dosage.
