Introduction

Istavel D 10/100 Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medications. It helps in proper utilization of insulin, thereby lowering the blood sugar level. It can be taken with or without food at any time of day but try to take it at the same time every day. The dose will be decided by your doctor and don’t stop taking it without consulting them. If you do, your blood sugar levels may increase and put you at risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Istavel D 10/100 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol Warning

Pregnancy Warning

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, a urinary tract infection, or you are on water pills (diuretics).

Istavel D 10/100 Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medications. Dapagliflozin increases urinary glucose excretion and reduces blood glucose levels. Sitagliptin reduces the amount of glucose produced by the liver by raising insulin levels and decreasing the levels of glucagon (the hormone that increases blood glucose level).

Istavel D 10/100 Tablet is used alone or together with other diabetes medicines to control blood sugar and avoid long-term complications. It also reduces the risk of heart attack, heart failure or other cardiovascular events. You should continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines (if prescribed) along with Istavel D 10/100 Tablet. It may also reduce weight and blood pressure. It may cause your body to lose too much fluid (dehydration) or you may urinate more often. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. It can cause genital fungal and/or urinary tract infections (UTIs) in both females and males, so practice good hygiene. It may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal. It may cause constant dizziness, joint pain, cold-like symptoms or unexplained nausea/vomiting. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms. It may cause genital fungal and/or urinary tract infections (UTIs) in both females and males, so practice good hygiene. It may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal.
