How it works
Integ MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Quick Tips
You have been prescribed Integ MR Tablet to relieve pain due to muscle spasm. This medicine is most effective when taken along with proper rest and physical therapy. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Integ MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling as a result of taking Integ MR Tablet. Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.

Frequently asked questions
What is Integ MR Tablet?
Integ MR Tablet is a combination medication containing diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. This medication helps relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant that acts on the central nervous system. Diclofenac and paracetamol work by reducing prostaglandins in the body which contribute to pain and inflammation.
Is Integ MR Tablet safe to use?
Integ MR Tablet is generally considered safe for most patients. However, some individuals may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dryness in the mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other uncommon or rare side effects. If you encounter any persistent problem, promptly notify your doctor.
Can I stop taking Integ MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?
Your doctor may advise on continued use of Integ MR Tablet for a specific duration. However, it can be discontinued if it is being used for short-term pain relief.
Can the use of Integ MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, using Integ MR Tablet might lead to nausea and vomiting. In case of nausea, you can take it with milk, food or antacids. Avoid fatty or fried foods alongside this medication. If you experience vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Seek advice from your doctor if vomiting persists and notice signs of dehydration such as dark-colored and strong-smelling urine and reduced frequency of urination. Do not take any other medications without consulting your doctor.
Can the use of Integ MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, using Integ MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some patients. If you experience dizziness or lightheadedness, it is advisable to rest for a while and resume only when feeling better.
Can the use of Integ MR Tablet damage kidneys?
Long-term use of Integ MR Tablet can potentially damage the kidneys. Prostaglandins produced by normal kidneys provide protection against kidney damage. Painkiller use lowers prostaglandin levels in the body, leading to kidney damage with prolonged usage. This medication is not recommended for patients with pre-existing kidney disease.
Can I take a higher dose of this medicine?
No, exceeding the prescribed dosage of Integ MR Tablet can increase the likelihood of side effects. If you experience increased pain severity or if pain is not relieved by recommended doses, consult your doctor for further evaluation.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Integ MR Tablet?
Store this medicine in its original container or packaging, tightly sealed. Follow the storage instructions on the pack or label. Dispose of unused medication properly and ensure it is not accessible to pets, children, or others.
