Frequently asked questions
What is Inmith 1500 Injection?
Inmith 1500 Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required by the body to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also helps release energy from food and utilizes vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can’t I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You may not get enough vitamin B12 from your diet. Vitamin B12 is found naturally in animal products like meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. People who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may have difficulty getting adequate vitamin B12 because it is not naturally present in plant foods such as fruits, vegetables, and grains. As a result, deficiency of vitamin B12 is common among vegetarians or vegans.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to symptoms like fatigue and weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss and megaloblastic anemia (an abnormal type of red blood cell). It may also cause nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms include balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, mouth or tongue soreness.
Is Inmith 1500 Injection safe?
Inmith 1500 Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, in some cases, rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash may occur. Discontinue the use of this medicine immediately if a rash develops.

The usual dose is 1 ampoule (containing 0.5 mg of Inmith 1500 Injection) and is given three times per week. After two months, 1 ampoule of the medicine is taken every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
What precautions need to be taken when administering Inmith 1500 Injection?
When injecting this medication, avoid using the same site each time. If you experience intense pain or blood backflow while injecting, remove the needle and re-insert at a different location.
