Inlyta 5mg Tablet can be taken with or without food but try to have it at the same time every day to get the most benefits. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to. The most common side effects of this medicine include high blood pressure, joint pain, and loss of appetite. Diarrhea, shortness of breath, can be serious sometimes so take medicine to treat it as prescribed by the doctor or stay hydrated. Your doctor may advise for regular blood pressure checkups while you are taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you notice a severe headache, confusion, problems with your eyesight, nausea or vomiting.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Inlyta 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Inform your doctor if you notice symptoms of very high blood pressure such as severe headache, confusion, problems with your eyesight, nausea or vomiting. It may cause serious bleeding problem. Inform your doctor if you get headaches, stomach pain or if you notice blood in your urine or stools. Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
Possible signs and symptoms of kidney cancer include blood in the urine (hematuria) that may appear dark red, orange, or pink. As kidney cancer progresses, it might cause persistent pain in your side or lower back, a feeling of pressure just below your ribs, or extreme fatigue.
Treatment duration varies based on individual cases. Your doctor will determine how long you need to take Inlyta 5mg Tablet based on your specific condition, response to treatment, and tolerance to side effects. They may reduce your dose or stop treatment temporarily or permanently if you experience side effects.
Call your doctor immediately if you experience signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, hives, itching, and blisters. Additionally, inform your doctor if you notice any bleeding in your urine, very high blood pressure, signs of thyroid problems (e.g., weight changes, nervousness, restlessness, weakness, thinning hair) after taking Inlyta 5mg Tablet. Finally, visit your doctor immediately for sudden mood changes, fast heart rate, changes in voice, fever, or chills.
Your doctor may suggest blood pressure, thyroid function, kidney function, liver or pancreatic function tests, complete blood count, and urine tests. For women of childbearing age, a pregnancy test is required prior to medication start.
People allergic to axitinib or any other ingredients in this medicine should avoid taking Inlyta 5mg Tablet. Seek guidance from your doctor if you are unsure.
This medication may impact fertility for both males and females. Consult your doctor before starting treatment to explore ways to preserve fertility.
General tiredness or fatigue is common during treatment with Inlyta 5mg Tablet. Consider adjusting your schedule to manage fatigue. Prioritize rest and avoid strenuous physical activities. Moderate exercises like walking can help cope with fatigue.
Regular monitoring of your thyroid function is recommended before and during treatment with Inlyta 5mg Tablet. Your doctor will advise blood tests to assess your thyroid status. If you experience symptoms like increased fatigue, unexplained weight gain or loss, sensitivity to cold or heat, hair loss, changes in voice (such as deepening), muscle cramps, and aches, inform your doctor right away.
Reversible Posterior Leukoencephalopathy Syndrome (RPLS) is a rare yet serious neurological complication associated with Inlyta 5mg Tablet. This condition presents symptoms like headaches, vision problems, mental changes, seizures, high blood pressure, weakness, and swelling in the brain. RPLS is reversible, and symptoms subside after treatment.
Inlyta 5mg Tablet may cause side effects such as excessive tiredness, swelling of the abdomen, legs, or ankles, shortness of breath, or protruding neck veins. These symptoms are alarming and indicate a potential risk for heart failure. The use of Inlyta 5mg Tablet is linked to increased risk of heart failure events. Therefore, it's crucial to address these episodes promptly. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of these alarming episodes.
Store the medication at room temperature in a dry place, away from children and pets to prevent accidental intake.
