Keep your feet clean and dry, particularly between the toes. Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use. Keep your vagina clean and dry. Use a separate clean towel for the infected area. Take a shower with antifungal soap after gyming or severe sweating. Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others. Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin. Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment. If used topically on the nipple area, wash breasts before feeding your child. Do not apply Imidil Cream on cuts or burns. Keep away from children.
Imidil Cream is an antifungal medication. It is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm (a red scaly rash on different parts of the body), athlete’s foot (fungal infection of the skin on the feet and toes), fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash. It also relieves irritation of the vulva (external thrush) and irritation occurring at the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush.
Imidil Cream is effective against Trichophyton species, which are responsible for ringworm infections, athlete’s foot, and jock itch. It also targets yeast known as Candida, which commonly causes vaginal thrush.
The symptoms of fungal skin infection, such as itching or soreness, should begin to improve within a few days of treatment. However, the signs like redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. Please do not stop applying this medication before the duration advised by your doctor, even if you feel better.
Always wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Imidil Cream. If you are using it for a foot infection, wash and dry your feet thoroughly before applying the cream, especially between the toes, before applying the cream. Imidil Cream should be applied thinly and evenly, rubbing gently onto the affected areas twice or three times daily.
The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection. Generally, tinea infections require treatment for one month, while Candida infections need at least 15 days of treatment. Please do not stop using this medication without consulting your doctor, as it may take some time to eliminate the fungus.
Imidil Cream can be used for children only under the guidance of a doctor. The correct dosage should be administered, and the child should not experience any side effects. However, if you notice any burning sensation, redness, or intense itching during treatment, discontinue using the medication and consult your doctor immediately.
Keep the affected skin areas clean and dry. Avoid excessive rubbing as it can damage the skin and worsen the infection. Do not share towels, bath mats, etc., with other people to prevent spreading the infection.
Imidil Cream may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives like diaphragms and condoms. If you are using it on the vulva or penis, consider using an alternative contraceptive method for at least five days after use.
