Ifimox 0.3 Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels. Lowering the blood pressure helps to prevent future stroke and heart attack.
Tablet
Ifimox 0.3 Tablet can be taken with or without food. You can take it at any time of day but try to take it at the same time each day. You should take this medicine as advised by the doctor and never stop it abruptly without consulting the doctor. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel ill but if you stop taking this medicine your condition could get worse. This may lead to your blood pressure rising up again and increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. It is important to have your blood pressure checked regularly. This medicine is only one part of a treatment program which should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, moderation of alcohol intake and weight reduction. You can eat normally while taking this medicine but try to reduce your salt intake. Common side effects of this medicine include dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and back pain. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you. Before taking this medicine, its better to let your doctor know if you are suffering from any kidney or liver disease. Also, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should consult doctor before taking it.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ifimox 0.3 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
Ifimox 0.3 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Ifimox 0.3 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Do not take Ifimox 0.3 Tablet if you are allergic to it, have heart failure, or a slow heart rate (below 50 beats per minute at rest) and experience abnormal heart rhythm or changes in heartbeat (sick sinus syndrome or second or third-degree AV-block).
Overdose of Ifimox 0.3 Tablet may cause headache, drowsiness, drop in blood pressure, dizziness, unusual weakness, and a slow heart rate. Other possible signs include dry mouth, nausea, fatigue, and abdominal pain. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience an overdose or suspect one.
You can take atenolol along with Ifimox 0.3 Tablet, but inform your doctor about taking both medications simultaneously. It is crucial to stop taking atenolol a few days before stopping Ifimox 0.3 Tablet if you plan on ceasing the latter because this may lead to an increase in blood pressure.
Sleep disturbance is a common side effect of Ifimox 0.3 Tablet, often mild and temporary. Other possible side effects include headaches, dizziness, vertigo (spinning sensation), and drowsiness. Consult your doctor if these effects persist or cause concern.
